Brewer and I are in the Capital Grill in Roswell NM... Which is a Mexican place...

I left Houston at 530... Over 700 miles today and still have about 60 more 'til I reach the campground.

No pics yet... Don't have that capability on the Blackberry... But we're doing good... Just hot!

Tomorrow we go to Santa Fe BMW to pick up a fork seal for Brewer...

That's about all for now....

In tent in mountains next to small creek and motorcycle in Ruidoso. I think it may be cold outside!

cold windy and wet describes today...

We rode to Santa Fe to get Brewers fork seals and got hammered by the crosswinds. Then came the Cold... Then rain... Then the snow!

After picking up the seals, we decided to head south and west to avoid the storms.

We Found some great dirt roads And even greater scenery!

We are in Farmington tonight... Leaving for Moab in the morning.

Thanks to Dr Josh for posting the pictures... and thanks all for helping him.

I just emailed him 6 more.

Until tomorrow...

We're at Eddie McStiff's... A whole bunch of Chain Gang People are here...

Brewer and I got here around 1:00, Unloaded the bikes, and hit some trails here in Moab.

To get here, we suffered through more wind, more rain and even more Snow. Oh well, we're here.

I sent Josh a couple of pictures... thanks again Josh!

tomorrow Should be F-U-N!

Today was a fantastic day! 7 of us rode white rim trail... About 115 miles of awesome dirt.

We left prof's wrenching session at 9:30 and headed to the trail.

Anna went with us.... She only dropped the bike a few times. In addition, ben, brewer, jetdoc, gangplank and tom completed the group.

We got off the trail about 6:00... Starving and thirsty. Bikes and us filthy.

What a great day guys... And it's nice to see the popcorn dood... Glad you guys are enjoying it... And thanks for the kind words.

I took a bazilllion pics and will be sending dr josh 19 of them to share with you. I also took about an hours worth of video...

Off to eat. Will email josh in a few.

What's impressive is the number of inmates here... There are more than 30 of us.

Peter (euromedic) arrived about midnight last night and is having breakfast with us at the Moab diner.

And if it's possible, today's weather looks even more spectacular than yesterday.

Camera batteries charged...

For the most park, anna is ok. The tree should be ok. Her bike... Well... I'm not sure about her bike. She's a trooper, but... She's back at the hotel with several rolls of duct tape and some zip ties...

So there are 4 of us left... Peter, brewer, jetdoc and me.

The four of us had a long conversation about the route back to Moab... One of us was insistent on taking a questionable path... 1/2 mile in and an hour later, we decided it may not have been a good idea...

After "lunch" (at 4 in the afternoon) we will either drink beer or do the white rim trail backwards...

By the way... If your bike is on it's side in a ditch full of mud and running water, it's a challenge to get it upright... I'm just sayin'...

The day started at the Moab Diner with the French Toast breakfast special.

The plan was to ride the Onion creek trail, but some where along the route we ended up on Kokopelli trail... a 4x4 trail.. And with all of the heavy rains, it proved a bit challenging.

After her First 3 or 4 dumps, Anna decided to hit a tree. Like I said above, She's ok, but her bike is in pretty Sad shape. Once we hit the black top, we sent her back to Moab... she was happy to oblige.

Brewer, Jetdoc, Peter and I Continued on...

The GPS pointed to a formidable trail as part of the route home. I ''suggested" we go that way. The surface of the road was this sticky nasty goo that we called "Sud" ... A combination of Sand and mud. And slick! They made me go first...

About 100 yards in to it, I was Sliding all over the place. The ruts from the trucks were about a Foot deep, full of water, And nasty.

About 1/2 mile into it while trying to stay out of the ruts, I put it into a ditch. Nice!

After trying to lift it For about 15 minutes, I headed up the hill to find the guys walking down to Find me. Lots of lifting and sliding later, we got the bike uprighted, turned around and moving back up the hill.

The boys had followed me into this hell hole, so we had to get their bikes turned around And out of this slop. Total time -- 1 hour.

Eventually we made it back to Moab and had Mexican food. Then a trip to the car wash...

After showers, we headed to the archs park for Something a little tamer.

With all of the inmates here, Johnson collected and gave $326 to the local charity- Grant County Children's justice center.

I'll send the pictures from today to josh in a little while...

Today was supposed to be an easy day... It's funny how things don't work out as planned...

It was four of us again... JD, Peter, Brewer and me.

We started off on a nice graded road which I found quite boring, so I pointed the red devil down a sandy double track... No particular reason... Just looked fun.

Peter was the first victim... He's ok, but he took a nasty spill coming down a rocky hill. Got it on video. Well I guess the poor bunny I ran over was the first victim. He ran out in front of me on a rocky downhill... Twas either him or me... I felt pretty bad though... Sorry bunny...

Joel went down and landed in a thorn bush...

Then JD in the sand.

We pressed on and found an old mine... Yada yada.

We ended up on an extremely challenging Jeep trail.... Probably shouldn't have been there...

I took a nasty spill on a very simple corner... Got hurt... I'll live. Minor damage to the bike.

Peter went down a few more times... And then things started to get more difficult.

To get to Dome Plateau, we decided to take kokopelli trail. After the first section of brutal rock climbs, JD had enough... He headed back to Moab...

And then there were three...

Brewer, Peter and I carried on on kokopelli. We found some beautiful scenery, very challenging conditions, deep sand, dehydration, hunger... Etc. The rock ledges we had to decend challenged the skid plates... Basically we'd drop the front wheels off the ledge and let the bikes slide down. More sand... More rocks... More ledges... Idiots.

We're back at the hotel now. Beer. JD is switching out a chain on Ed's bike... The rest of us are supervising.

We've also watched a lot of the video... Awesome!

That's it for Moab... At least for me and Brewer... We begin the journey back to Texas tomorrow.

I'll send pics to Dr. Josh in a little while...

The end.
